IPL & Laser Skin Treatments in Glasgow

Rather than treating every skin concern in the same way, we look at what is actually contributing to the problem — whether that is pigmentation, redness, visible blood vessels, sun damage, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, acne scarring, fine lines or changes in skin texture.

Depending on your skin and your goals, treatment may involve IPL, fractional laser resurfacing, or a combination of both.

What can IPL and laser treatments help with?

Our IPL and laser treatments can be used to improve a range of common skin concerns, including:

• Sun damage and age spots

• Areas of unwanted pigmentation

• Facial redness and visible small blood vessels

• Uneven or dull skin tone

• Acne-prone skin in suitable patients

• Enlarged or visible pores

• Uneven skin texture

• Fine lines and early signs of skin ageing

• Acne scarring

• Certain other scars and stretch marks

• Overall skin rejuvenation

Not every laser or IPL treatment is appropriate for every skin type or every type of pigmentation. Your skin will therefore be assessed before treatment and an individual treatment plan recommended.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation

IPL — Intense Pulsed Light — uses controlled pulses of light to target specific colours within the skin.

It can be particularly helpful when the main concerns are pigmentation, sun damage, redness, visible vessels and uneven skin tone.

IPL can also be used as part of an overall skin rejuvenation programme to create a clearer, brighter and more even-looking complexion.

IllumiFacial® by Lynton

IllumiFacial® is more than a traditional facial. It combines specialist skincare, a gentle peel and medical-grade Lynton IPL in one treatment.

It is designed for people who want to improve overall skin quality rather than focus on just one concern.

IllumiFacial may help with dull or tired-looking skin, uneven tone, pigmentation, sun damage, redness, visible pores and skin texture, leaving the complexion looking brighter, smoother and more refreshed.

IllumiSmooth™ – IPL + Fractional Laser

IllumiSmooth™ combines two technologies within the same treatment: Lynton IPL and fractional ResurFACE® laser.

IPL targets concerns closer to the surface such as redness, pigmentation and uneven tone, while fractional laser resurfacing works on skin texture and stimulates skin renewal and collagen remodelling.

This makes IllumiSmooth particularly useful when there is a combination of concerns — for example pigmentation together with uneven texture, enlarged pores, fine lines or early signs of ageing.

Rather than choosing between IPL and resurfacing, suitable patients can address both tone and texture within one carefully planned treatment.

Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing – ResurFACE®

Lynton ResurFACE® uses fractional Er:YAG laser technology to create controlled microscopic treatment zones within the skin while leaving surrounding areas untreated.

This stimulates the skin’s natural repair and remodelling response.

Fractional laser resurfacing may be recommended for:

• Acne scarring

• Uneven or rough skin texture

• Enlarged pores

• Fine lines

• Signs of photoageing

• Certain scars

• Stretch marks

• General skin resurfacing and rejuvenation

Treatment intensity can be tailored according to the skin concern, desired result and acceptable downtime.

Which treatment is right for me?

This is often the most important question.

If your main concern is pigmentation, redness or visible vessels, IPL may be more appropriate.

If your concern is predominantly acne scarring, pores or uneven texture, fractional laser resurfacing may be recommended.

If you have a combination of pigmentation, redness and textural changes, IllumiSmooth may allow us to address several aspects of the skin within the same treatment plan.

The aim is not simply to offer “a laser treatment”, but to select the technology that is most appropriate for your skin.
